Tax information can be coordinated with your attorney or other authorized professional, while legal advice and fiduciary decisions remain with them.
What helps most
Bring the question, not a perfect folder.
It is useful to have any recent returns, tax notices, income documents, or the date of death. It is equally fine if you only know that paperwork has started arriving.
- Keep official tax mail and make a note of any visible due dates.
- Find the most recent return if it is readily available.
- Do not email Social Security numbers, account numbers, or tax documents through the callback form.
