Straight answers before you decide what to do next.
These answers explain the tax-preparation scope and common federal tax terms. They do not replace personalized tax advice, legal advice, or a filing-deadline review.

Can Franklin Solomon work with us remotely?
Yes. Franklin Solomon is built for nationwide remote tax support. We use the callback request to understand the tax question, explain the next practical step, and coordinate how documents should be shared safely after a conversation begins.
What should I have ready for a first call?
You do not need a complete file. The date of death, the most recent tax return if you have it, and a general sense of what tax mail or income documents exist are enough to start a useful conversation.
Can you tell us what the estate has to do legally?
We focus on tax preparation and tax-information coordination. We do not provide legal advice, act as executor or trustee, interpret estate documents, or direct property transfers. Those questions belong with the appropriate attorney or fiduciary professional.

Is a final individual tax return the same as an estate or trust return?
No. The final individual return generally covers income through the date of death. Income afterward can create a separate estate or trust income-tax question. The facts determine what federal filings should be reviewed.
What is Form 1041?
Form 1041 is the federal income-tax return used by many estates and trusts. It can report income, deductions, gains, losses, and beneficiary information when the federal rules require it.
Why did a beneficiary receive a Schedule K-1?
A Schedule K-1 can report a beneficiary's share of certain estate or trust tax items. Keep the original and share it with the tax professional preparing the beneficiary's return rather than assuming it explains every inheritance or distribution question.

Do you work with attorneys and other professionals?
With the client's permission, we can coordinate tax information with the attorney, valuation professional, or other authorized person involved. Each professional remains responsible for their own scope of work.
Do you need sensitive documents through this form?
No. Do not send Social Security numbers, financial-account numbers, tax returns, or documents through the callback form. Start with a brief request; a secure document process can be discussed after contact is established.
What happens after I request a callback?
Your request is sent to the Franklin Solomon team. A team member will follow up about your tax question and the next appropriate step. A submitted form does not create a professional-client relationship or replace a tax or legal filing deadline.
